SWIVELS & SNAPS

Swivels and snaps are used to connect the line leading from a rod to a lure. The swivel lets the lure twist and turn in the water without compromising the integrity of the line. Snaps do not allow the lure to twist, but instead, act as a stronger connection between the fishing line and lure. There are several types of swivels, some have two rings and some have three.
