A fishing rod is a fishing tool in the form of a slender, knobbly rod, usually with a handle that tapers to a tapering point at the back end and is used by connecting a bait hook with a fishing line.
The fishing rod was originally a tool used by human for fishing and subsistence. Now it is usually used for fishing recreation in outdoor sports, but also for some fishing competitions or outdoor competitions.
